Landlords’ properties continue to be targeted by criminal gangs as a cover for illegal activity.

The National Landlords Association (NLA) said privately-rented homes across the UK were being used as a smokescreen to grow cannabis in homemade "factories", and produce the harmful drug crystal meth.
