It is not only our clients we have been helping find new property recently, Pennington has also been on the move and with the lifting restrictions on all retail we are now fully up and running from our new premises in Woodbridge.
Like many other businesses the challenges of the past 12 months has meant that we have embraced a new way of working to continue providing the services we deliver. I have always been an adopter of technology and our recent further investment in new systems has enabled us to operate remotely and work more flexibly, with several of the team opting to work from home for the foreseeable future.
All our homeworkers are connected by integrated systems, which has allowed us to develop our capacity to provide our first-class service whilst protecting all clients and staff. We are also expanding the team and have welcomed new starters and are in the process of recruiting further members of staff.
This change in the way we work has meant that our Ipswich offices were no longer fit for purpose and after more than 30 years of operating from Crown Street, we decided to relocate to our new premises at 14 Church Street in Woodbridge. This is the ideal location as it is central to the area we cover and enables us to expand our services further to eastern Suffolk whilst continuing to provide our unrivalled property management service to our clients in and around the Ipswich area.
The private rented sector now represents 20% of all households and with over 125 individual pieces of legislation that now govern the sector, this places a huge burden on the many small, private landlords we have and who the Government relies on to provide this much-needed housing. Our focus is on delivering the service that eases this burden.
Our new offices provide a central hub for our management team with easy accessibility and a base for the wider team to be supported from and we look forward very much to welcoming you if you are passing or would like to come and see us.
I am excited by these changes and while it has been an uncertain time for businesses and individuals alike, I look forward to continuing to evolve the business – in hopefully what will be less challenging times ahead. We remain committed to offering our clients a professional service and we do that with the excellent team we have at Pennington. Our long association with ARLA Propertymark has been fundamental in maintaining our high standards too and we are pleased to have embraced a licenced approach to the service we provide, long before there was any legal requirement to do so.
As always please do not hesitate to contact me as I am happy to help with any advice on our local property market and we look forward to welcoming you to our new premises, should you wish to call in.
